Honor was a cabin boy on a merchant ship, The Silver Sylf, that was attacked by an Aboleth somewhere west of the Sword Coast. The boat drifted for days before running aground south of Waterdeep, where every member of the crew was found brain-dead and wasting away but otherwise unharmed. Only Honor survived, unbeknownst to those who discovered the ghost ship, and doesn’t truly understand what happened. Many residents of the sword coast, as well as sailors of all sorts, know the story, and believe the ship (which still sails out of waterdeep, with a new crew) to be cursed.
